Coach Husby and Coach Jackson, co-owners of National Kicking Rankings, are excited to announce that Coach Ed Groth of Power Kicking has joined NKR and will provide a strong Northeast presence in developing and evaluating specialists.

"He's a young guy with enthusiasm and passion," Husby said. "He also teaches proper fundamentals that we agree with and is in the kicking business for the right reason. We are happy he has joined NKR."

Coach Ed currently resides in Shelton, CT. He attended Shelton High school, where as a senior he was named All-state and All-CT team. He still currently holds the longest FG in the SCC conference of 49 yards. He attended college at Central Connecticut State University where he was a 4 year starter.

"Ed obviously showed he can perform at high level and was consistent during his four years as a starter at CCSU," Jackson stated. "We have inquiries all the time about running a camp or training up in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, and now, we have that as a resource through great coaching in Ed. Stoked to see the Northeast develop in NKR and am eager to see Coach Ed do his thing."

His senior year, he had a long of 43 yards, and averaged 40 yards per punt. He was named All-NEC and All-New England. Currently, Ed is still pursuing a professional career. He had try-outs in the AFL and mostly recently a try out with the Seattle Dragons of the XFL. Outside of football, Coach Ed runs Power Kicking which is based in CT, and he is a high school coach at Greenwich High School in CT.

If you are in the Northeast area and would like to train with Ed, don't hesitate to contact him on social media at @PowerKicking. We are proud to have such a versatile coach on board!
